Wacky Houses

This is a picture of a small wall-hanging I made for Diane, my best friend here in Blacksburg, who moved away to Indiana several years ago. I wanted to make the houses as bright and bold and as happy as could be! These color and fabric choices indicate how I choose color when making quilts, so obviously, I'm not a "pastels" user. Diane generously sent me the picture of the wall-hanging so that I could share it on my blog, and with others who don't read my blog, or don't have computers. I think this was a successful quilt. IMHO

A New Life in My Life

Hi! I'm going to be blogging about my life, my family, my art, and my dogs. The most exciting thing to happen in my life is the birth of the newest member of our family - Taylor! He was born on November 30, 2009, to my daughter and her husband, at 4:51pm, and was 7 lbs.14 ozs, and 21" long. He is the newest love of my heart. I am going to post some pictures of him, and then pictures of his mom, (my Emily), and his Dad (Chris), and me with him, and my husband (Michael) with him.
